I have been researching grants this week. It is truly amazing how much money is available for first time homebuyers. The funds available are on both the federal and local level. Subsidized loans are available based on income  levels. Grant money (free money) available for down payments and assistance with closing costs. New construction downpayment assistance. The list goes on and on.

Programs such as these are not advertised. The more we learn about these and other programs such as these give us as Realtors the opportunity to help our clients young and old to realize the dream of owning their own home. We owe it to ourselves and our community to help get these programs for our buyers and improve the economy in our hometowns.
